We are pleased to announce the upcoming ABCD Congress to be held on the 24-26 September 2025 in Paestum, an ancient Greek city in the south of Italy renowned for its history, art, and scenic beauty.
The congress will take place at Hotel Ariston, close to the stunning Tyrrhenian coastline and the Archaeological Park of Paestum, home to some of the world’s best-preserved Greek temples.
The ABCD Congress aims to bring together leading scientists from across the world in the fields of cell biology, development and differentiation to focus on recent advances in our understanding of the molecular mechanisms governing cellular, tissue and organ homeostasis.
The 2025 program boasts an exceptional lineup of keynote and plenary speakers and will feature five plenary sessions on the following topics:
As usual at ABCD Congress, we will have selected oral presentations in two parallel sessions focused on:
The poster sessions will also complement the oral presentations, offering all attendees opportunities to engage, discuss, and share their latest findings.
The meeting is a great opportunity to share new ideas, foster collaborations, and encourage young researchers in the field.
The congress is open to all researchers from Italy and abroad.
Please visit this website for more details on the preliminary scientific programme, the congress venue and the application procedures.
Following a successful tradition, the Congress will be preceded by a pre-congress meeting for Early-Career Scientists, on 23-24 September, reserved for post-docs and Ph.D. students under 35 years of age at the date of the congress. Keynote lectures will be held by Tom Kirchhausen (Harvard Medical School, USA) and Letizia Lanzetti (University of Turin, Italy). The pre-meeting provides an invaluable opportunity for young scientists to share their research and to engage with senior researchers in an informal setting.
Young participants will have the chance for further interactions with the invited speakers during the sessions and at dinner, followed by a round table discussion moderated by Barbara Mazzolai (Director for Robotics at the Italian Institute of Technology, Genoa).
The prestigious Luca Daveggio Prize will be awarded for the best oral presentation during the pre-congress meeting. Fellowships are available to assist post-docs and Ph.D. students with travel and lodging expenses.
Join us at the ABCD 2025 Congress and meet scientists whose outstanding studies are defining the state-of-the-art in the field of cell and developmental biology.
We look forward to welcoming you in Paestum!
